Dr. Corrie is a native of Clarence, N.Y. and a graduate of Clarence High School. She graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree from Butler University in 1981. She then attended Purdue University, Collage of Veterinary Medicine and earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree (DVM) in 1986.
Dr. Corrie now lives in Akron, N.Y. and has been the owner of Akron Animal Hospital, P.C. since 1994. The goal of Akron Animal Hospital is to provide quality veterinary services at value-based prices to the people and pets of Western New York.
Dr. Corrie and her husband Jim Styn (manager of Akron Animal Hospital) raise Labrador Retrievers and show them in conformation, obedience, hunt tests and agility. We also enjoy spending time with them as our family.
Dr. Corrie is also a charter member and has held multiple offices in the Clarence Chapter of New York Women Inc . She also helped to form Four Seasons Agility Club and is the current president of the Iroquois Labrador Retriever Club. Her professional affiliations include the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), NYS Veterinary Medical Association, American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) and the Niagara Frontier Veterinary Medical Association.
